Identify process optimization opportunities in all areas of the mill and facilitate their successful implementation from the standpoint of reduced product variation and costs. Deals with application and software issues related to process control and supports end users in application development. Responsible for conceptualizing, building and leading in the development of breakthrough approaches which result in process improvements. Responsible for the management of control equipment specifications, sensors, vendors and process control software development. Establishes and implements area process optimization goals and monitors its performance. Apply control theory to design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes and equipment. Identify and develop new control schemes for retrofits and existing systems.
