This position is specific to the Harris Nuclear Plant (HNP), located in New Hill, North Carolina. HNP is a single unit, Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactor with a rated thermal power of 2948 M - Wth. The Design Support engineering team manages the development, design, and implementation of engineering changes. This position is for an electrical / I&C design engineer. This position requires high individual motivation to solve complex analytical problems and plant issues. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with increasing independence. They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is complex and varied. Responsibilities. Provides direct support to plant operations and maintenance, primarily in the form of design changes, engineering calculations, and technical recommendations for improvement of the plant electrical and I&C systems.
