Department: County Engineering Job Title: Engineer III Job Grade: 110 Yearly Salary: $104,730.00 - $118,795.00 Location: 501 N Thompson, Ste. 103 Conroe TX 77301 Civil Service: Yes Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) Education, Experience and Skill Requirements • Bachelor's degree in engineering. • 6 years of experience in civil engineering, municipal engineering, or a related engineering field. • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, evaluate data, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Primary Job Duties • Conducts comprehensive reviews of plats, subdivision layouts, and site development plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and design standards. • Broad knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles, practices, and methods, and their practical application • Attend meetings on behalf of supervisors or commissioners. • Review hydrologic and hydraulic modeling submittals to support development plan applications and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using specialized engineering software • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
