Engineer III - Generation - Alliant Energy : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Engineer III to support the performance monitoring and diagnostics of our renewable energy fleet, including wind, solar, and emerging battery systems. This role is split between ongoing monitoring of wind and solar assets, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, compliance (with NERC GADS). and facilitating monthly performance reviews with field technicians. The engineer will be responsible for generation data integrity, ensuring all assets are online and reporting accurately, and will play a key role in identifying and resolving operational issues across the fleet. A quarter of the role focuses on data analytics and innovation, leveraging tools like Canary and Python to manipulate and report on system performance, particularly for battery assets. Strong Python coding skills are a mandatory requirement.
