Position Description

FPL is seeking an Energy Solutions Specialist to join the Customer Solutions & Field Experience Department near Lake Mary/Sanford. Due to the high concentration of Spanish-speaking customers in this territory, Spanish language skills are highly preferred. A Technical or Associate degree is also desirable. This role offers a pathway to various career opportunities within our organization.

Job Overview

This role involves performing home energy assessments, providing customized energy management plans, and promoting products/services through consultative sales. The specialist will have extensive knowledge of technical products such as solar, electric vehicles, HVAC systems, etc., to recommend energy efficiency solutions. The role aims to influence customer adoption of beneficial products/services and enhance our company's brand as a sustainable, customer-focused organization. Additional activities include community engagement, customer outreach, and metering investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite energy audits and assessments safely, listening to customer needs
  • Educate customers on energy conservation and build strong relationships
  • Analyze energy data to identify inefficiencies and develop sales pitches
  • Recommend and educate customers on energy-efficient solutions and technologies
  • Influence the adoption of energy-saving strategies and personalize customer experiences
  • Create detailed energy assessment reports and close deals using storytelling
  • Evaluate the impact of energy initiatives and promote brand loyalty
  • Install weatherization measures and educate customers on applicable programs
  • Promote products/services through partner initiatives to meet sales targets
  • Support marketing/community events and educate customers on company value
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • Technical certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
