Job Objective

This position will be responsible for sourcing electricity and natural gas commodity supply offers and agreements for a range of commercial and industrial clients. Responsibilities include energy analysis, product recommendation and implementation, risk management, market intelligence development, tariff and load analysis, renewable energy project support, market assessment, strategy development, contract negotiation, contract management, and client interaction. The SEPM will support the Director on strategic procurement initiatives with the Executive Leadership team. Candidates should be diligent, detail-oriented, organized, and possess an advanced understanding of domestic and global energy market fundamentals. Experience in energy commodities operations, hedging strategies, retail pricing analytics, and critical thinking for procurement opportunities is essential. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure customer satisfaction, supplier engagement, revenue growth, and long-term account retention.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Present pricing recommendations to internal and client management.
  • Facilitate contracting process, including confirming contract executions with suppliers.
  • Create and administer hybrid auction approaches using the company's proprietary software.
  • Develop strong relationships with functional leaders and site operations across business units.
  • Utilize market intelligence sources and present this information to prospects, employees, and partners to recommend buying strategies.
  • Assist the BDM team with communicating market intelligence and risks to clients.
  • Support pricing duties as requested by Managing Partners.
  • Maintain and organize data related to pricing activities and communication with third-party suppliers.
  • Assist in creating, organizing, and distributing market intelligence within the firm.
  • Contribute to the development of proprietary software platform knowledge.
  • Process contract data post-execution for internal records.
  • Continuously improve colleagues' knowledge on energy procurement.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of energy industry experience in commercial & industrial commodity procurement.
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and management skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Task-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
