Energy Logistics Coordinator – Direct Hire

Location: Omaha, NE – In Office

MyStaff is partnering with a respected Omaha-based client to hire an Energy Logistics Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity. This role supports commercial operations in the natural gas industry by ensuring smooth coordination between customers, suppliers, producers, pipelines, storage operators, and markets. It's a fast-paced, detail-driven position that requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.

About the Role

As an Energy Logistics Coordinator, you'll oversee the daily scheduling and movement of natural gas, working closely with trading teams, middle and back-office staff, and external partners. This includes responsibilities traditionally handled by a Energy Logistics Coordinator, such as nominating gas volumes, tracking deliveries, and resolving any imbalances in the most efficient way possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receipt and delivery of natural gas with customers, suppliers, producers, pipelines, and storage operators.
  • Enter nominations accurately and on time into applicable pipeline and operator systems.
  • Track and document all physical gas sales, maintaining up-to-date spreadsheets and reports.
  • Collaborate with trading staff to prevent or address imbalances.
  • Work with middle and back-office teams to support invoicing, payables, risk management, and reporting.
  • Monitor operations to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with industry partners and internal teams.
  • Represent the company at meetings and industry functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in the natural gas industry; prior energy logistics experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of interstate pipeline and LDC systems.
  • Strong Excel skills (Access knowledge a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
