We are hiring an Outreach Engineer II responsible for coordinating utility-offered industrial energy efficiency programs and resources for Central and Northern California. The Outreach Engineer acts as the main point of contact, building and maintaining relationships within the California industrial network to generate natural gas and electric efficiency project opportunities. The role involves working closely with utility and program staff, and facilitating interactions between industrial customers, vendors, contractors, and service providers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build relationships with project engineers, staff, vendors, and customers to deliver energy efficiency programs.
  • Engage vendors to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify and promote energy-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with regional stakeholders for collaboration.
  • Use consultative selling techniques to recommend program offerings.
  • Represent program requirements accurately.
  • Utilize technical resources effectively.
  • Provide regular reports on lead generation and project status.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange County/Inland Empire, or southern San Joaquin Valley. No in-office requirement, but weekly travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with PG&E industrial customers and large facilities.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficiency technologies, programs, policies, and energy analysis.
  • Understanding of industrial systems like boilers, furnaces, pumps, fans, compressors.

Preferred characteristics include experience with utility-funded programs, knowledge of California energy regulations, project financial metrics, and technical sales experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary ($85,140 - $106,480/year) and benefits including health, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, disability, parental leave, 401k with 3% match, ESOP, bonuses, paid leave, and wellbeing contributions.
