Job Summary

As an EMS Dispatcher, you'll be responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, determining the nature and location of the incident, and dispatching appropriate EMS units. You'll play a critical role in coordinating timely responses and ensuring the safety of both patients and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

· Answer and prioritize emergency calls using communication equipment

· Dispatch EMS units based on location, availability, and urgency

· Monitor and track unit status and location in real-time

· Communicate effectively with field personnel, hospitals, and other agencies

· Maintain accurate records of calls, dispatches, and incident details

· Remain calm and professional under pressure

· Follow established protocols and procedures for emergency response

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent (required)

· Prior experience in emergency dispatch or EMS (preferred)

· Strong communication and multitasking skills

· Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations

· Familiarity with dispatch software and radio systems

· CPR certification and Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification (preferred)
