Now Hiring: Employment Specialist Location: Rochester, NY Position Type: Full Time Schedule: Primarily business hours, with some evenings and weekends as needed Are you someone who enjoys helping others build confidence and reach their employment goals? Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and energetic Employment Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities in gaining meaningful employment and developing real-world job skills. In this role, you'll provide direct job coaching and vocational training in a variety of community-based settings. You'll also help individuals build strong work habits, improve social and communication skills, and prepare for long-term employment success. This position involves meaningful connections with employers and the opportunity to truly change lives. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide job skills training and supervision in community and facility-based work settings
• Help individuals develop positive work habits, social skills, and independence
• Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities
• Assist with setting up job sites, vocational assessments, and training materials
• Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and program outcomes
• Serve as a positive role model, encouraging personal and professional growth
• Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and reviews to support individual goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; OR
  • Associate's degree and 1 year of relevant experience; OR
  • High school diploma and 2 years of related vocational or human services experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively support individuals in various work environments
• Valid NYS driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
