Serves as a key strategic partnership role in the recruitment and hiring of staff positions spanning the entire enterprise. Provides guidance, interpretation of applicable human resource (HR) policies and procedures to managers, employees and external/internal candidates. Functions as a primary liaison between internal and external applicants and various UR divisions to facilitate the hiring process for assigned client divisions. - - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - - Maintains an understanding of the varying recruitment needs of multiple business units. Initiates the planning of all necessary activities centered around the hiring cycle. Ensures all pre- hire requirements are met based on the type of position. Demonstrates a strong knowledge of university job classifications and requisites established. Drives the background check process, analyzes results, and conducts interviews based on applying NYS assessment factors.
