Emergency Services Tech II - Emergency Services - Part Time - Guthrie Healthcare : Job Details

The ED EST is responsible for providing and supporting patient care and an exceptional patient experience in the ED. The ED EST is also responsible for supporting efficient throughput of both discharged and admitted ED patients. Education, License & Cert: High school graduate/ GED or equivalent. BLS required. EMT/ EMT-P preferred. EKG certification preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Experience: Previous customer/patient relations experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician/ CNA preferred. Essential Functions: Stocks and organizes ED supplies and equipment including dietary supplies. Transports patients into and out of the ED including assisting patients from private vehicles, moving patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or hospital bed. Measures and documents vital signs accurately and timely. Present in the ED waiting area providing support and information to patients and families awaiting care or test results.
