Emergency Room Technician - FT - Day Shift - Erie County Medical Center : Job Details

Performs venipuncture; Performs pulse oximetry and records measurements; Monitors fluid intake and output; Performs specimen collections; Performs point of care testing; Ensures quality controls are completed; Complies with infection control policies & procedures and personal protection equipment; Obtains and records vital signs and notifies supervisor of changes; Utilizes pain scale and appropriate intervention when providing patient care; Responds appropriately to life-threatening emergencies; Provides personal hygiene care including showers, bed baths, shaving, nail, hair and oral care; Provides nutritional needs including passing and collecting trays and nourishments, setting up trays and adaptive feeding equipment, feeds or assists as necessary; Cares for patient's personal need items sure as eyeglasses, hearing aids, canes, wheelchairs and other adaptive devices; Completes property inventory and secures patient property according to hospital policy; Transports and transfers patie...Technician, Emergency Room, Shift, Healthcare, Patient
