As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, you will support clinical functions, assist with patient care based on individual needs, and help ensure efficient department operations.

Afternoon Shift 3:00 pm - 3:30 am

• Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering direct patient care within the scope of training and hospital policy.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with procedures, perform EKGs, and maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Transport patients and specimens as needed.
• Maintain clean and stocked patient care areas and equipment.
• Document accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Respond to emergency situations under supervision.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient flow and care delivery.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period.
• One (1) of the following:
• Valid Basic Emergency Medical Technician (B-EMT) certification.
• Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of a formal nursing or medical doctor education program.
• OR one (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience.

• Previous experience as an Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant.
• EMT license.
