Practice Setting

• Rural critical access hospital with 11 total beds
• 24-hour solo coverage: 12-15 hrs clinical + night call
• Subspecialty backup includes anesthesia, cardiology, ortho, and general surgery
• ER volume: 110 patients/month; inpatient avg: 4 patients/day

Schedule

• 24-hour shifts from 12p-12p (with on-call at night)
• Dates available mid-August
• Orientation included (weekday only, 4 hours)

Cases and Procedures

• Must independently perform: intubations, vent management, central lines, chest tubes, LPs, bedside US, adult and peds resus, sedation, and more
• Hybrid coverage: emergency room + inpatient admits and rounding

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner with Colorado license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA
• Must be comfortable in a solo setting with procedural autonomy
