Previous experience as a advanced practice clinician (APC) in an emergency department (ED) or urgent care setting is preferred but not required. APC candidates will be required to have current ACLS and BLS certifications.Mercy Ambulatory Care Center features:

• Emergency department annual volume: 26,000
• 12 ED hospital beds
• APC schedule: 10:00am-10:00pm
• Candidates must be available for all shifts including 2 full weekends a month
• Low acuity level facility
• EMR: EPIC

The MACC differs from an urgent care center because it is considered a hospital, and therefore, can accept ambulances and patients with acute illnesses or injuries. The MACC has access to around-the-clock cardiac and stroke services at nearby Mercy Hospital of Buffalo and all trauma is transferred to the Level I Trauma Center at ECMC Health Campus in Buffalo. MACC also provides a range of specialty care and diagnostic testing services.
