Emergency Medical Technician (Mt. Vernon location) - Mercy Health : Job Details

Performs direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support. The EMT may also perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required. Job Duties: Operates an emergency vehicle, responding to emergency and non-emergency scenes and transporting patients to appropriate destinations. Ensures that the assigned ambulance and items of equipment are stocked, clean, maintained and ready to use. Assists in the assessment of the patient in order to promote optimal levels throughout pre-hospital care. Demonstrates proficiency in pre-hospital basic life support skills. Demonstrates appropriate radio communications including; fluency, organization, and accuracy. Qualifications: Licensure: EMT license for the state where employed, valid driver's license. Experience: Applicants must be at least 19 years of age to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
