Emergency Medical Dispatcher - American Medical Response : Job Details

Understands and adequately implements the concepts of Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) as published in Principles of Emergency Medical Dispatch (and as customized by AMR) as a minimum standard of care Allocates EMS resources based on approved protocols and established processes Maintain a high level of expertise in the use of the computer aided dispatching (CAD) system Responsible for complete and accurate data entry for all service requests Knowledge of Company and Departmental policies, operating procedures, and protocols Participate in and complete all continuing education as outlined by the department Must be able to function effectively in a potentially stressful environment Possess excellent written and verbal skills essential for effective communication with patients, medical personnel, co-workers, and clients.
