Job Description :
Under the general direction of the Director and/or Manager, registers, admits and schedules patients to the Hospital Information System, gathers complete data necessary to assure timely reimbursement and accurate registrations. Communicates hospital policies, procedures and regulations to patients. Prepares patient charts, accurately dispositions and scans all relevant paperwork according to hospital policy and performs other duties as assigned. Collects insurance co-payments per department policy. Adheres to St Joseph Hospital and department policies/procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or equivalent education desirable. One to two years in a health related field. Must be available for 12 weeks of full time training 8 am-4 pm Monday - Friday Knowledge of EPIC and STAR.
