Job Title: Embryology Supervisor Reports to: Senior Embryologist FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. As an Embryology Supervisor you will be proficient in all areas of the laboratory as well as lead a team of embryologists. Required Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Daily quality control, medial preparation and dish preparation.
  • Have a well-developed understanding of all aspects of running an Embryology lab including but not limited to: equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, QC/QA/QM/QI.
  • Use of lab equipment to complete procedures: balance, pH meter, CO2 monitor, labeler etc.
  • Completion of Oocyte retrieval and denuding of oocytes.
  • Embryo and oocyte thawing/embryo and oocyte freezing.
  • Fertilization checks and embryo transfers.
  • ICSI and conventional fertilization techniques.
  • Schedule procedures, complete requested tasks and navigate patient charts.
  • Understanding of cryopreservation and storage of specimens.
  • Perform PGT and loading samples. Must be able to interpret PGT report and call patients to relay.
  • Successfully perform PESA/TESE.
  • Supervisor embryology staff, including overseeing PTO, scheduling staff, ordering equipment for lab.
  • Participate in all required training.
  • Mentor mid- level and junior staff.

Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, medical or reproductive laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution required. Minimum 4 years of experience in Embryology lab required. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
    • Excellent computer literacy.
    • Adequate vision or corrective lenes for sample identification.
    • Ability to multitask in fast paced environments.
