Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced embedded software engineer to support the development of Modular Application Framework (MAF) features and help architect solutions tailored to enterprise needs. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams across global locations, including occasional early morning meetings with European partners.
Key Responsibilities - Understand enterprise-level requirements and assess the technical capabilities of internal teams.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help design robust, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Develop and implement MAF features using embedded C.
- Promote and uphold best practices in software engineering across the organization.
- Manage configuration control for the MAF system.
- Participate in product development meetings to stay aligned with evolving product requirements and timelines.
- Prepare software test plans and perform thorough bench testing prior to HIL or field deployment.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours for meetings with international partners (primarily Europe).
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in embedded C programming (7-10 years of hands-on experience).
- Experience in technical leadership and guiding engineering teams.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Proficiency with JTAG debugging and CAN communication protocols.
- Working knowledge of Simulink modeling and auto-code generation.
- Ability to automate build and test processes using scripting languages such as Python.
- Openness to working in the agricultural technology sector.
Preferred Skills and Experience - Familiarity with J1939 protocol.
- Knowledge of Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS).
- Experience working with ISOBUS standards.
- Proficient in version control tools such as GIT.
- Experience using PXROS or other RTOS platforms.
- Knowledge of control engineering tools such as Danfoss GUIDE and CodeSys.
- Background or interest in agricultural or mechanical systems.
