The Email Marketing Manager at Hudson Valley Lighting Group is a creative and analytical individual responsible for working with our digital marketing team to strategize, develop, and execute our email & SMS marketing strategy as part of our holistic digital strategy. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing emails, automated tracks, and simple to complex drip campaigns. As an Email Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, nurture leads, and increase conversions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling content, segment audiences effectively, and optimize campaigns for maximum impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email & SMS marketing best practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the marketing & business development teams to develop and execute the email marketing strategy for all HVLG brands
Form a deep understanding of our business & goals
Create and execute our email calendar to promote products, events, and company initiatives
Oversee and execute all email marketing projects and updates
Write engaging and educational copy for emails and subject lines
Work with the creative services team to create eye-catching high-aesthetic emails
Strategize and implement new ways to increase open rates and engagement
Personalize the customer journey and maximize every touch point in the customer lifecycle
Build and optimize automated email tracks for all divisions of our business
Define and implement our list segmentation and personalization strategies
Ensure lists are up to date and segmented properly
Develop and implement a rigorous testing process, including A/B testing
Monitor and develop new initiatives to increase list growth and customer retention
Keep track of email goals & metrics and report on those insights on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Monitor and forecast digital trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Troubleshoot email issues
Oversee freelancers and agencies as needed for email executions
Assist in the strategy and execution of effective landing pages to ensure positive CTRs and lead generation
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
3+ years of email marketing experience
Experience with Active Campaign, SendGrid, or other email marketing software tools
Experience with Attentive or other SMS marketing tools
Experience with Asana or other project management platforms
Experience developing, building, and tracking email workflows and automated tracks
Excellent time management and the ability to juggle long and short-term deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to work independently and with a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working under deadlines
Photoshop and InDesign skills are a plus
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Omniture are a plus
Ability to take direction and follow through on projects assigned
