LOCATION OF POSITION: 10946 Golden West Drive, Suite 160, Hunt Valley, MD 21031
Main Purpose of Job: Ensure the safety of the general public by conducting inspections and investigations related to installation and operation of elevator units installed and operating in Maryland. Inspections are conducted applying the Annotated Code of Maryland; COMAR regulations, referenced codes, standards and manufacturers criteria.
POSITION DUTIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of experience in the construction, installation, repair, adjustment or inspection of elevators, escalators, moving walks, lifts, hoists or other related devices.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualifications: Experience working with elevators, moving walks, hoists and other related devices; Investigative and report writing experience; Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification and/or licensed elevator mechanic preferred.
