About the Employer Welcome to Live Oak School District! Our mission is to empower, inspire and ensure equitable opportunities for every student to thrive. The Live Oak School District was established in 1872 and currently serves approximately 1,700 students in three elementary schools, one middle school, one K-8 independent charter school, and one alternative school. The student population is 50% Hispanic, 31% White, 19% Other, 30% English learner, and 60% Socioeconomically disadvantaged. Job Summary SUMMARY Under the direction of the site principal or district designee, the Elementary Wellness Coach provides direct support to students in fostering physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being. The Certified Wellness Coach is a state-certified profession established by CWC qualifications include but are not limited to, psychoeducation, system navigation, crisis de-escalation, safety planning, coping skills, and motivational interviewing. CWCs will engage and support children and youth in cultural, linguistic, and age-appropriate services, with the ability to refer and link to higher levels of care, as needed. Behavioral health and related services performed may include: -Wellness promotion and education -Screening -Care Coordination -Individual and group support CWC a will focus on proactive and responsive wellness strategies that align with a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), including Tier 1 prevention efforts and Tier 2 targeted interventions. The coach works closely with school staff to support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PSIS), implement wellness initiatives, and empower students to develop healthy habits and social-emotional resilience.
