Elementary Security Monitor (EF) Full-time - FARMINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS : Job Details

The Farmington Public School District is looking for a Security Monitor for East Farms Elementary School. The position is 8 hours per day, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with a 1-hour unpaid lunch), during the school year. Benefits include medical coverage, paid time off, and life insurance.

Rate: $21.42 - $25.86 per hour, depending on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate should hold a high school diploma or college-level degree. A law enforcement background is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students while maintaining order in large groups.
• Ability to monitor visitors and adhere to visitor sign-in procedures.
• References that demonstrate the required skills for this position.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Security Monitor provides monitoring activities, including supervising students and visitors, to ensure a safe and secure school environment. Responsibilities include enforcing visitor policies, maintaining discipline, monitoring school grounds, managing attendance records, preparing student passes, and following safety procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow all visitor policies and procedures.
• Maintain order among students in assigned areas.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Monitor school buildings and grounds for safety and security.
• Communicate effectively with visitors, students, and staff.
• Show respect to students, visitors, and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
