Job Description :

We're currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Repair Technician with experience in both low and high voltage systems to join our client's growing team located near Oceanside, NY. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives on diagnosing complex issues, repairing critical systems, and contributing to high safety and performance standards. Responsibilities of the Electronic Repair Technician will include:

  • Diagnose & Troubleshoot: Identify issues in a range of electronic components including circuit boards, power supplies, DVRs, digital signage, Ethernet switches, and communication modules.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and peak performance of all systems.
  • Testing & Verification: Utilize tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers to test components and confirm repairs.
  • Documentation: Accurately log service details, repairs performed, and parts used in accordance with company procedures.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to industry safety standards and internal protocols for all maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Inventory Control: Track and manage tools and spare parts, and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Technical Support: Provide occasional support for field service operations when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current on new electronic technologies, repair techniques, and diagnostic methods.
Job Requirements Qualifications of the Electronic Repair Technician:
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in electronic repair and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Skilled in soldering and rework; must obtain IPC 7711/7721 certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in electronic repair.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication and basic customer service skills.
  • Comfortable with computer systems and documentation tools.
  • CET (Certified Electronics Technician) or equivalent preferred.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $60,000 - $75,000.
