Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has multiple openings for an Electronics Engineering Associate in Berkeley, CA.What You Will Do:

Provide technical support under general supervision and consultation with scientists and engineers. Apply sophisticated technological skills, scientific principles, mathematics, and project management to support the Beamlines and Accelerator section of the Advanced Light Source Electrical Engineering Group. Responsible for electronic design, documentation, procurement, fabrication/installation, and testing of ALS electronic and electrical systems. Support the electronic design, documentation, procurement, fabrication, installation, and testing of ALS RF Systems under supervision.

Benefits:

The full salary range for this position is between $109,616 and $139,644 per year, depending on skills, knowledge, education, certifications, and experience.

What is Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field, with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of electronics theory, electro-mechanical and scientific principles, and mathematics.
  • Experience with complex test equipment such as digital and analog multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, function generators, pulse generators, and delay generators.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic routines, procedures, and use appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Skill in interpreting complex schematics, assembly, calibration, maintenance, and operating manuals.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex electronics.
