Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.Job MissionAs an Electronics Connectivity Design Engineer, you will participate in the design, implementation and validation of highly reliable electronics for ASML's EUV systems. You will engage discussions within cross-functional teams and work with multiple engineering groups to outline and create electronic systems, validation plans and test infrastructure. You will also contribute to technical roadmap planning, promote innovation and incorporate relevant new technologies and methodologies into the design and integration processes.This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.Job DescriptionDesign electrical and electronic components to meet the overall system specifications, costs and schedule.Participate in the definition of system specifications.Partner with other disciplines and suppliers to ensure the timely realization of reliable and serviceable products.Select right hardware components & architecture to facilitate the efficient implementation of required functionality within a complex high-precision system with multiple interdependenciesParticipate in the adoption of best design practices and in realization of state-of-the-art hardware architectures and design methods.Communicate accurate status updates to assigned leads in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.Job description subject to change at any time.Education and ExperienceMust have at least a BS degree in Electrical EngineeringMust have 2-5 years of industry experience in the design of Electrical & electronic modules.Experience in the design of cables, racks, cabinets, PCBA.Experience with electromechanical designs is a plusExperience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications.Hands-on experience with board, module and system level electronic troubleshooting , including experience with engineering test equipment such as logic analyzers and bus analyzersBroad technical knowledge of cabling and connectivity, EMC, electronic safety and other system-level concepts a plusHands-on experience in design, component evaluation and selection, design validation and qualification.Hands-on experience with schematic capture and simulation tools preferred. Experience with Capital and/or XPedition is a plus.Skills & CompetenciesStrong team playerStrong communication skills including ability to author technical specifications (detailed design documents, test plans, results, status reports etc).Familiar with SAFe - Agile Way of Working is a plus.Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.Can learn and apply new information or skills.Must be able to read and interpret technical data, information, and documents.Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads.Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability.Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.Demonstrate open, clear, concise and professional communication.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and internal customers.Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines.Other InformationThis position is located in San Diego and works on a hybrid schedule; 3 day onsite, 2 days remote.Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
