Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Electromechanical Technician to apply their skills and technical experience to help us accelerate production of our cutting-edge technology. This role will help support manufacturing, sustainment, and engineering activities with a focus on depot and repair operations.
Location: This position is on-site in East Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities:
Follow established unit test procedures and assembly work instructions to accomplish daily manufacturing operations
Perform a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of production schedule
Build and rework multi-wire cable harnesses
Perform test and rework of printed circuit boards
Troubleshoot RF and digital failures down to component level. This includes both the system to component level and the component to IC level
Use test stations and manual bench configurations to accomplish tasks
Plan technical support functions required to support engineering, manufacturing and development projects and activities; functions may include setup, maintenance, circuit testing, assembly, installation, troubleshooting and fabrication
Write up detailed data summary for discrepancy documentation to show results of test processes during the repair/troubleshooting process
Conduct intake assessments on returned equipment, both customer owned and company managed assets
Propose and execute rework plans to repair or refurbish returned equipment
Communicate with quality, engineering, and production teams to support improvement of equipment reliability and repair turnaround times

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have ability to multi-task and change job tasks on short notice
Work collaboratively and cross-functionally within the organization
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills under minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple repair jobs and priorities simultaneously
Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and diagnostic information
Required Qualifications:

High School diploma and 7 years or related experience
Must have ability to use a variety of mechanical tools and use electronic test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.)
Must possess mechanical aptitude and have small tool skills
Must be able to interpret and work from electronic schematics, blueprints, and test specifications/instructions
Must have solid computer skills to include the use of MS Office and Internet browsers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Experience working in an ESD controlled environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a Depot Operations environment or with RMA process
Experience with the use of Linux command line
Background in Radio Frequency (RF) theory and/or operation
IPC J-STD-001 Solder certification
Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.
Salary Range : The anticipated hourly range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $29 to $33/hour annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
