Electrocardiograph Technician - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring a Monitor Tech to support our client's medical facility based in Bronx, NY – 10461. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Monitor Tech

Location: Bronx, NY 10461

Pay Range: $25/hr - $27/hr

Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Rotating weekends required*

Duration: 03 Months (Contract) with possible extension

Key Competencies:

• Proficient in interpreting ECG/EKG rhythm strips to identify normal and abnormal cardiac waveforms (e.g., atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, heart blocks).
• Continuous monitoring and recognition of vital signs and changes in patient status.
• Skilled in use of cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry systems, and electronic health records (EHRs).
• Accurate documentation of cardiac rhythms, waveform intervals (PR, QRS, QT), and heart rate measurements.
• Rapid communication of critical rhythm changes to appropriate clinical staff.
• Understanding of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and emergency response protocols.
• Maintains situational awareness and clinical judgment to ensure patient safety during cardiac monitoring.

Required Experience/Education:

• At least 1 year of acute care experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• EKG Certification
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
