Job Title: Electrician Department: Production Location: Business Unit LeaderReports To: Job Type: Full-timeTravel: MinimalCompensation: $28.00- $33.00 an hourFor more information on Ohio job opportunities, please reach out to Laura Hannum at 740-###-####.Job Summary:The Electrician I is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled duties in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment used in Trillium Farms' daily operations. This role works under minimal supervision and is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical machinery and control systems.Essential Job Functions:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components to ensure proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and local building regulations.
  • Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
  • Maintain good knowledge of heating, air conditioning, and other mechanical systems.
  • Utilize various test equipment to ensure systems and components are operating correctly.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as crawling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, mechanical systems maintenance, and industrial control systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, strong time-management abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with National Electrical Code, OSHA safety standards, and regulations.
  • Tools/Software Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Basic computer and report writing skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Trade school or relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage projects, people, and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawling.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with parametric and industrial control systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to work weekends and holiday hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrician certification or degree from an accredited technical college or university.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of heating, air conditioning, and other mechanical systems.
Work Environment:
  • The position involves working in a manufacturing environment, where employees may be required to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, crawl, or perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Employees may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
