Working with minimal supervision and following all safety protocols, this role ensures equipment reliability and supports facility operations through both specialized electrical expertise and general maintenance capabilities. The ideal candidate is highly self-sufficient, safety-conscious, and experienced in diagnosing complex electrical issues, while also possessing well-rounded mechanical aptitude.Primary Duties:
  • Safely install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, circuit breakers, motors, control panels, and lighting, in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA standards.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions, including issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor controls, sensors, and automated systems to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair workon mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems to support overall plant functionality and reduce the need for external service calls.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance taskson electrical and mechanical systems, documenting results to help ensure long-term equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manualsto determine the most efficient and accurate repair or installation methods.
  • Use precision electrical testing instruments and tools(e.g., multimeters, meggers) to evaluate system integrity and performance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of work performed, parts used, and time spent on maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teamsto improve equipment reliability, safety, and productivity across departments.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, contributing to a positive safety culture throughout the plant.
Education, Training & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a formal 3-4 year electrical or electronics apprenticeship or training program required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of verifiable industrial electrical experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, industrial safety practices, and manufacturing operations.
Special Equipment or Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability towork independently and solve problems efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment related to electrical and general maintenance tasks.
  • Able toread and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and basic automation systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude andexperience performing general building and equipment maintenance(e.g., minor plumbing, welding, HVAC support).
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must supply personal hand tools and be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Willingness to work in varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and occasional overtime or off-hours based on production needs.
