Title: Electrical Technician II

Location: Wilmington, NC

Type: Full-time, On-site

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Technician II to join our team in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting capital projects, including manufacturing equipment upgrades and new installations. This role will be responsible for providing electrical expertise throughout the equipment acquisition, specification, and deployment lifecycle, ensuring successful installation and operation of manufacturing equipment.

The position requires strong technical skills, organizational ability, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical support for equipment acquisition efforts across various-scale capital projects, including manufacturing equipment upgrades and brown/green-field installations.
  • Establish and document equipment specifications and requirements (configuration, quantity, etc.).
  • Partner with Global Supply Management and equipment vendors throughout the competitive bid process (RFQ, vendor selection, issue resolution).
  • Support project leaders in developing equipment delivery timelines and integrating them into project schedules.
  • Participate in deployment team planning activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Capital Deployment Project Teams, Development, Technology Platforms, and Cable Technology groups.
  • Coordinate and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years in capital project environments.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Vault, and Inventor (navigation-level proficiency).
  • Basic skills in using electrical tools for troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret equipment specifications and identify alternate sources if needed.
  • Strong organizational skills – focused, effective, and efficiency-driven.
  • Proactive problem-solver – able to quickly address and resolve challenges.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in a capital project environment
  • Prior experience supporting equipment installation, testing, and deployment.

Work Conditions

  • Schedule: Full-time; may require flexibility to meet project demands.
  • Travel: Limited, as required to support vendor visits and equipment testing.
