Electrical Technician II - Lancaster, OH 43130 | Lancaster, Ohio, United States Job Title: Electrical Technician II Location: 231 Whiley Road, Lancaster, OH 43130 Duration: 6 months (Temp-to-Hire) Pay Rate: $31.00/hr (W2) Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Technician II to support operations and maintenance at a critical facility in Lancaster, OH. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution, generators, UPS, HVAC controls, PLCs, and SCADA systems. The technician will work under minimal supervision and play a key role in maintaining operational readiness and electrical safety compliance. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems from 24V to 480V AC; support work around 13.8kV systems. Diagnose and repair control circuits, VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation devices. Perform preventive maintenance using CMMS. Read and interpret blueprints, ladder logic, and electrical schematics. Support electrical system expansions and infrastructure upgrades. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes, including NFPA 70E. Operate diagnostic tools, hand tools, and laptops to evaluate system performance. Respond to service calls, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear documentation. Interface with clients, vendors, and team members; enforce safety standards and job site best practices. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 3-4 years of experience as an electrician in data centers, manufacturing, industrial, hospital, or similar environments. Ability to safely operate aerial/scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Additional Requirements: Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen. May require valid driver's license and ability to obtain site security clearance. Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or holidays if needed. Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Extensive walking, ladder/stair climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting. Ability to distinguish wire colors and interpret technical documents. Use of computers, test equipment, and communication tools. Must interact professionally with clients under occasional high-stress conditions. Special Requirements: Must wear appropriate PPE (steel toes, gloves, hard hats, etc.). Must be comfortable working around chemicals, regulated materials, and precision instruments. Experience with tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges is a plus. Other Attributes: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. Schedule flexibility and adaptability are essential.
