Electrical Technician II - Columbus, OH 43207 | Columbus, Ohio, United States Job Title: Electrical Technician II Location: 225 Rathmell Road, Columbus, OH 43207 Duration: 6 Months - Temp to Hire Pay Rate: $31.00/hr on W2 Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Overview: The Electrical Technician II will join the Operations & Maintenance team, supporting facility electrical systems and equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and control systems, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution. >Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance on electrical systems (24V to 480V AC), including PLCs, VFDs, motors, and controls Troubleshoot and repair control circuits, instrumentation, and electro-mechanical devices Support electrical infrastructure and expansion projects Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequence of operations Maintain and repair facility equipment including servers, SCADA, access control, and network devices Ensure compliance with NFPA70e, electrical codes, and safety regulations Perform preventive maintenance using CMMS Document work and communicate with customers and internal teams Promote and adhere to safety protocols including PPE usage and LOTO procedures >Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 3-4 years' experience as an electrician in industrial, data center, hospital, or manufacturing settings Strong knowledge of NFPA70e, electrical troubleshooting, and control systems Experience with PLCs (RSLogix), SCADA, and HMI systems Ability to operate aerial/scissor lifts and work at heights up to 30 feet Comfortable working near 13.8KV systems Strong organizational and time management skills Must pass background check and drug screening Ability to obtain security access badge Valid driver's license may be required Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or alternative shifts as needed >Physical & Special Requirements: Ability to walk extensively, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces Repetitive hand/wrist movement, bending, squatting, kneeling, and stretching required Ability to differentiate wire colors Proficiency with Microsoft Office and diagnostic equipment Wear required PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats Comfortable working around chemicals and precision equipment >Additional Attributes: Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
