Senior Staff – Electrical Systems Engineering
Location: New York or North Carolina (relocation provided)
Our client's Manufacturing, Technology & Engineering division leads the way in innovative manufacturing and engineering excellence. This role offers the chance to join the Capital Projects and Facilities team, supporting the design, installation, and startup of new facilities, equipment lines, and major capital projects across the company.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement electrical power systems for new facilities, expansions, and equipment installations
- Ensure robust, reliable, and cost-effective power solutions
- Lead project scope, cost modeling, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and turnover
- Oversee failure analysis, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements for electrical equipment
- Support factory/site acceptance testing, integration, and training of plant personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering required
- 10+ years in the power field
- Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage facility electrical power systems
- Experience with transformers, switchgear, UPS, ATS, industrial control panels, and solid-state components (SCRs, IGBTs, etc.)
- Skilled in short-circuit, protection/coordination, arc flash, and system reliability studies
- Experience mentoring junior engineers; PE license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
