As an Electrical Superintendent, you will play a significant part in the success for Kiewit. You will function as a field supervisor and with responsibility for multiple general foremen/Foreman and craft workers. You will be responsible for the organization, planning, means and methods, execution, compliance with drawings, specifications and industry/national standards (i.e. NEC, IEEE), workmanship, scheduling, cost control, and assignment of work to accomplish the execution of the work, either directly or through General Foreman or Foreman. You will also work to maintain positive working relationships with the client, engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.

These projects are located across Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas. Must be willing to 'go where the work is'!
Responsibilities include mentoring and supporting the development of junior superintendents, general foremen, foremen, and field engineers; reviewing and approving labor rates for Foremen, journeymen, and laborers to ensure fair compensation and cost control as well as adherence to the established budget; assisting project management with contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication); maintaining good relations with both our client and staff on site; initiating and attending meetings with the client, engineer, and key project staff for problem resolution and planning; providing input for monthly progress updates, job cost updates; assisting project management in the review, approval and negotiation of change orders; assisting in the development and implementation of project completion and turnover; maintaining detailed daily records to facilitate accurate documentation and reporting; ensuring that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports; and reviewing and approving or rejecting promotions up to General Foremen.
Qualifications include 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity; being a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures and software programs; ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise; excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills; strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration; hands on electrical installation experience as a journeyman electrician on power generation or industrial installation; current or previous state licensed Journeyman preferred but not required; a degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology from an accredited institution may substitute for hands on experience with appropriate industry supervisory experience; familiarity with NED, IEEE and NFPA standards for installation and safety; and familiarity with OSHA and industry safety rules and regulations.
