This Electrical Specialist opportunity with our client could be a perfect fit for your transition into the civilian workforce. The role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, dependable, and efficient operations across multiple industrial production facilities. Much like mission-critical assignments in the military, you'll be expected to make real-time decisions, troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems, and lead by example in dynamic field environments.The Electrical Specialist is tasked with developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while also performing hands-on diagnostics and repairs. You'll be working with complex systems such as substations, transformers, relay systems, UPS backups, and motors up to 45,000 hp - all requiring precision, discipline, and technical skill sets that align closely with military training. From managing IR thermography and transformer oil analysis to coordinating maintenance schedules, this role demands attention to detail and an ability to work independently or lead a team, skills that are honed in the service.You'll be part of a Regional Reliability team with the company, contributing to broader strategic goals while operating with autonomy in the field. Veterans who are used to traveling for assignments and managing unpredictable conditions will find the travel component (up to 50%) and off-hours availability both familiar and manageable. Your ability to operate under pressure, communicate clearly, and uphold safety protocols will be highly valued in this role.
