Electrical Safety Professional Lead– Critical Power & Electrical Testing
The Electrical Safety Professional Lead specializes in electrical testing and critical power systems, particularly Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive electrical safety programs, with a primary focus on UPS systems to ensure safety and reliability. Responsibilities include oversight of Project Safety and Health (S&H), Risk Management, managing multiple safety programs, and collaborating with Project Management on the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.
The candidate must have hands-on experience leading project safety teams, specialty contracting, coordination, and project execution. Proven knowledge of industries related to Government & Federal Buildings, Power Distribution Centers, Military & Air Force Bases, with projects on a national and global scale, is required.
Creating, developing, and implementing safety training plans and curricula.Conducting new hire orientations (OSHA 10, 30, CPR/FA training).Redesigning training materials and programs to enhance the employee experience.Understanding and interpreting electrical safety standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, and managing NFPA 70E training programs.Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness.Mentoring safety professionals and facilitating cross-training.Staying current with regulatory, operational, and technical safety matters.Participating in meetings with clients, project teams, and contractors to advise on risk mitigation, safety training, and technical reports.Education / Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree with 8-10 years, Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years, or Master's degree with 3-5 years of safety management experience, preferably in safety or engineering disciplines.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems.
- Knowledge of ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000 standards.
- Strong culture-building skills.
- Trainer certification.
- OSHA 500 / 502 certifications.
- Degree in Safety or Occupational Safety from an ABET-accredited program.
- Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification.
- Willingness to pursue ASP, CSP, CHST certifications.
- Experience in electrical, construction, industrial, federal, or commercial safety; CESCP certification preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
