Job Description :

A Talascend client in the Mobile, AL area has a need for an Electrical Reliability Engineer to provide engineering support through reliability processes within a highly automated steel production environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
  • Able to perform data analysis on equipment performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum of 5 years' electrical engineering experience.
  • PdM Certification or Qualification (Vibration, Thermography, Oil analysis, Tribology, Motor Circuit Analysis) strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in RCM Practices (Reliability Centered Maintenance). SolidWorks/AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with RCFA, Cause Mapping, Kaizen problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
  • Ability to write technical proposals and communicate effectively at various organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with multiple stakeholders and work in teams.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings efficiently.
  • Logical and critical thinking mindset for addressing problems.
  • Adaptability and leadership in response to changing business demands.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and efficient processes.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide engineering support for the maintenance team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in reliability engineering practices.
  • Initiate and facilitate root cause analysis of equipment failures and major breakdowns.
  • Identify and propose solutions for repeat failures and unplanned downtime.
  • Participate in critical equipment inspections and analysis.
  • Analyze equipment data, recommend maintenance plans, and review drawings and technical documentation.
  • Develop technically sound equipment maintenance plans.
  • Track and trend equipment maintenance performance.
