Job Title: Electrical Power Supply EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in Point of Load (PoL) Power Supply Design to support a mission-critical defense project. This role will be instrumental in the development of a next-generation ruggedized hardware system that plays a vital role in the U.S. military's communications suite.Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Point of Load power supplies for ruggedized defense hardware.
• Design and analyze single and multi-phase buck converters for medium to high current applications (3A to 50A).
• Translate load device datasheets into detailed electrical requirements.
• Perform HyperLynx Power Simulations including DC Drop and AC Lump Analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure robust, reliable, and efficient power delivery solutions.
• Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of power supply designs.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in power supply design, with a strong focus on Point of Load (PoL) architectures.
• Proven experience with single and multi-phase buck power supplies.
• Expertise in medium to high current designs (3A to 50A).
• Proficiency in HyperLynx Power Simulation tools for DC and AC analysis.
• Eligibility for a Secret Clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of component selection, thermal management, and PCB layout best practices for power electronics.

Work EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid work schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite work in Ashburn on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our engineers are working on cutting-edge technology, developing ruggedized single board computers with super high-speed processing capabilities. These high-speed computers support high-reliability missions and are utilized in aircraft, tanks, submarines, torpedoes, and missiles. The contract duration is 9 months with potential for conversion to hire, including standard benefits, 3-4 weeks PTO, and 10 standard holidays. A remote position may be considered but would involve approximately 6 months of work.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
