Electrical Inspector Field-Based Role Supporting
Location: Queens & Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Fieldwork from September through Memorial Day Weekend

Are you an experienced electrical professional looking to make a meaningful impact in New York City's public infrastructure? Join a dynamic team of inspectors conducting Building Condition Assessment Surveys (BCAS) for schools across Queens and Brooklyn. This is a hands-on, field-based role where your expertise will directly support the improvement and safety of educational facilities.
What You'll Do
- Conduct electrical inspections as part of a 4-person team focused on school building assessments.
- Perform HVAC and electrical system evaluations using standardized protocols.
- Use an iPad-based system to document findingsno complex tech required.
- Travel throughout Queens and Brooklyn during non-peak hours for site visits.
- Participate in coordination meetings and collaborate with project leads.
- Follow strict guidelinesno asbestos evaluation is required.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of electrical inspection and surveying experience.
- Experience in electrical engineering or related technical field.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and apply electrical codes.
- Experience with institutional or K12 projects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with NYCHA, BCAS, MEP systems, and construction management is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
