Job Description What you will be doing:
- Perform as a critical design team member in electrical systems development and coordination for construction design projects.
- Interact with the firm's project team members (designers and engineers from mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems disciplines), architects, consultants, clients, and contractors.
- Identify project requirements, develop engineering concepts, and present options and recommendations to meet project requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism and technical knowledge.
- Apply strong technical design skills to produce accurate and timely project deliverables.
- Support project requirements with client interface, field investigation, basis of design narratives, and development of electrical construction design documents compliant with applicable codes and standards.
- Review submittals and support the project through construction completion.
- Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state, and national building codes and industry construction standards.
- Provide design information and delegate work to production support staff as applicable.
- Share knowledge with other design staff in a leadership role.
- Meet and interact with clients and project stakeholders.
- Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to stay abreast of the latest trends and electrical systems technology.
- Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally and externally for successful project outcomes.
Experience you will need:
- Registered PE in the State of Arizona.
- Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited engineering program (Architectural Engineering Degree preferred).
- Excellent skills in designing electrical systems.
- Knowledge of lighting and control, power, power distribution, HVAC coordination, food service equipment coordination, and fire alarm systems.
- Working knowledge of current versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts and ideas into deliverables.
- Working knowledge of COMcheck and applicable energy codes.
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA Code Standards.
- Working knowledge of Excel, OneNote, Word, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team structure.
- Ability to learn and grow professionally.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
