Electrical Engineer – Civil Aviation Programs
Location: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey (Partially Remote: 3 days onsite/2 remote)
Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team, supporting the Visual Guidance Lighting Systems (VGLS) group within civil aviation programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Test and Evaluation process for cutting-edge visual guidance systems that enhance aviation safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Oversee the transition of the RVR (Runway Visual Range) lab from ANG-C63 to ANG-E63 facilities.
- Install and maintain RVR equipment in the lab and at the VGLS Test Facility.
- Perform software and equipment updates to ensure RVR systems are fully operational.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending meetings on RVR and other lighting systems.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Support the installation and maintenance of lighting systems at the VGLS Test Facility.
- Contribute to specification development for RVR and other lighting systems.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 1+ years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops count) OR an entry-level Master's degree (MSEE).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in hardware testing and circuit analysis.
- Experience with test equipment.
- Technical writing skills
- Familiarity with system engineering principles (e.g., specification development, requirement research).
- Bonus: Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MATLAB.
