Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with a focus on embedded systems and high-performance LED circuitry. This role involves designing and implementing embedded hardware, developing optimized firmware in C, and leading the integration of microcontrollers into efficient, thermally efficient PCB layouts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in new product development, hands-on lab testing, and collaborative problem-solving. A minimum of three years of experience in embedded hardware design is required, along with excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Essential Skills and Functions

  • Design, develop, and implement embedded hardware solutions, including microcontroller selection and integration.
  • Develop efficient, optimized embedded C code for hardware systems.
  • Select and integrate high-performance LEDs, ensuring proper drive circuitry for optimal performance
  • PCB design for efficient thermal performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of hardware and firmware to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Design for EMC/EMI compliance
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned according to business needs.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong experience in embedded hardware design and microcontroller selection.
  • Proficient in C programming for embedded systems.
  • Proficient in Altium (preferred) or similar PCB Design Software
  • Experience with simulation tools (preferred)
  • Experience with high-performance LED selection and drive circuit design.
  • Experience with PIC microcontrollers (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and lab testing tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • New Product Development experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience with new product development.
  • Technical experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

  • Office environment 100% onsite (must be located in Phx-metro, AZ)
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (some nights and weekends may be required)

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operator computer keyboard / perform assembly techniques
  • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, rarely lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
