Job Title: Electrical Engineer ILocation: Green Cove Springs, FL Department: EngineeringReports To: Engineering ManagerJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team at Vac-Con. This role involves the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components used in high-performance sewer cleaning and hydro-excavation machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for sewer cleaning equipment, including control panels, wiring harnesses, and embedded systems. Collaborate with mechanical and design engineers to integrate electrical components into complex machinery. Create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Support manufacturing and field service teams with technical expertise and training. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, CE). Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and product development cycles. Key Competencies: Analytical Thinking: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues. Knowledge of motor control systems, sensors, and power distribution. Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming is a plus. Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required). Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure (preferred). Continuing education or certifications in industrial automation or controls (a plus). Physical Requirements: Ability to work in manufacturing and field environments, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders as needed. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Work Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing. Noise, dust, heat, and cold are present in Production and Assembly environments
