Electrical Engineer (Data Centers) - Career Collective : Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, grounding, UPS, generators, switchgear, etc.) for data centers and MEP projects.
• Develop and coordinate 3D models in Revit for accurate documentation and clash detection.
• Perform load calculations, single-line diagrams, and short circuit studies using industry-standard tools.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and local codes/regulations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural teams to ensure fully coordinated MEP solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits).
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, supporting a culture of knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering for MEP design.
• Hands-on Revit MEP experience required.
• Proven experience in data center electrical design (UPS, redundancy, generator systems, cooling power interface, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM, or ETAP is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and data center industry standards (Uptime, TIA, BICSI).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
