Position: Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Location: North Tonawanda, NY

Training on 1st shift, followed by shifts on 2nd (3pm to 11pm) or 3rd (11pm to 7am).

As an Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our dynamic packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be skilled in conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, starting up, and shutting down equipment in line with company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Identifying and communicating potential electrical and mechanical issues to management and line mechanics.
  • Maintaining performance and maintenance records for designated equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance as instructed and assisting fellow maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  • Embracing a commitment to safety and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Electrical License is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Miltary training and/or technical school preferred.
  • Computer operations experience, including PLC programming.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Capacity to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow instructions, and adapt to other assigned tasks.
  • Strong dedication to creating a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

A well-rounded understanding of electrical components and equipment, alongside the ability to utilize specialized diagnostic instruments, is expected.
