- This position provides technical assistance on electrical and instrumentation (E&I) equipment to reduce production losses from equipment failures, and to ensure safe and compliant operation of the Synfuels plant. This is accomplished by maintaining technical competence regarding the theory, design, and application of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment, managing and interfacing with Maintenance regarding preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (Pd. M) techniques, and troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment to develop reliable, cost-effective solutions. - - ESSENTIAL DUTIES - - Troubleshoot and analyze electrical and instrumentation issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Assist in specifying new equipment and maintaining equipment and component standardization. Assist in trip logic testing of critical rotating, fixed, and fired equipment.
