Electric Motor Winder - JCI Industries : Job Details

JCI Industries is looking for an Electric Motor Winder to join our team in Lee's Summit, MO!

As an Electric Motor Winder you will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, reconditioning, rewinding, and testing electrical equipment. You will disassemble and inspect the motors, rewind AC/DC motors/generators, and then reassemble the motor and AC/DC generators. Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $33.88/hr. to $49.13/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.New hires are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus under the compensation

What You'll Do:

\n
• Rewind medium and low voltage electric motors, stators and armatures
\n
• Tear down equipment utilizing manufacturer's recommendations and industry best practices using necessary tools Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reason(s) for failure
\n
• Provide information on parts/work required for repair
\n
• Provide feedback to assist in accurate costing and work scope development for installation work Provide recommendations to improve reliability of equipment
\n
• Cleaning, staging, and checking of parts for accuracy
\n
• Assembly utilizing manufacturer's recommendations and industry best practices using necessary tools in a safe and timely manner Test completed repair as necessary
\n
• Prepare for shipment
\n
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment/system/electric control difficulties in the field
\n
• Provide preventative maintenance as required for equipment type and for extended equipment life Clean/organize shop, as required
\n

What You'll Need:

\n
• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years' experience of field service and/or commissioning experience in an industrial environment
\n
• Knowledge of rotating machine systems, generators, electric motors, or similar mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
\n
• Must be capable of using and reading precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently
\n
• Must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
\n
• Must be capable of wearing personal protection equipment, including a respirator Must be capable of working outdoors and possibly in inclement weather
\n
